Dish Lifter Original is a ready to use garlic, onion and tomato base that helps you build rich, savoury meals without starting your flavour foundation from scratch. We do the slow roasting and flavour development first, so you can get dinner moving with a spoonful.
Traditional fermentation, mushroom and seaweed add rounded umami depth. Think of it as your everyday flavour booster for chicken, mince, vegetables, tofu and beans.
How do I add rich flavour to everyday cooking?
Quick stir fry base: Brown your meat, tofu or vegetables, then stir in the paste and cook through.
Bolognese and pasta: Stir into mince, lentils or tomato sauce for a richer savoury base.
Soups, stews and curries: Add a spoonful as you build the sauce or broth.
Chicken and pan sauces: Stir into the pan juices with a little stock or water.
Rice and noodles: Mix through for a quick flavour lift.

Formerly Trio Ginisa, Dish Lifter takes inspiration from the Filipino garlic, onion and tomato flavour foundation. The name now describes what it does in kitchens of every kind: lifts the flavour of the whole dish.
As Trio Ginisa, this product was a 2025 New Zealand Food Awards finalist in the Pantry and Artisan categories.
Updated packaging note: Our Dish Lifter range now comes in 200 g jars with refreshed labels. You may receive packaging that looks different from earlier batches while our transition is completed. Please refer to the net weight and information on your jar.
